Workforce development and entrepreneurial opportunities for women & girls
“Education is the great engine of personal development. It is through education that the daughter of a peasant can become a doctor, that the son of a mineworker can become the head of the mine, that a child of farm workers can become the president of a great nation.”
Nelson Mandela

Workforce development and entrepreneurial opportunities for women & girls

  • West Africa (primarily)

Our program for workforce development and entrepreneurial opportunities—for women & girls—is geared toward helping those with only minimal digital literacy find skilled-trade positions or start businesses that are suitable for them. This particular program is carried out primarily in Guinea and Senegal (both in West Africa), and the ladies bravely learn tools which help sustain them and their families.

Some are not meant to be proficient with technology, or meant to follow traditional college routes, but have wonderful attitudes, work hard, and end up becoming great bakers, skilled seamstresses, or business owners in other fields.

NOTE: The ADF is open to all, including all racial groups. Scholarships are awarded through a selection process involving the ADF and its partners.
